From printing band shirts in a New Jersey garage to collaborating with Grammy winners and Super Bowl champs, I've spent nearly two decades helping visionaries bring their ideas to life. But there's something deeper at work here — my Arabic surname 'Sammak' means fisherman, reflecting my true calling: diving deep to draw out the divine purpose in people's stories. Through strategic design and authentic storytelling, I help transform visions into experiences that move people toward deeper truth.

Working with Derek has completely transformed my art practice and career. I’ve gained so much vision and momentum since beginning to work with him.

“The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep waters, but a man of understanding will draw it out.” - God

the good stuff is buried deep

Like a fisherman casting nets into deep waters, I help draw out the divine markers and eternal purpose written in people's stories.

Through creative excellence and authentic storytelling, we'll work together to uncover and express your unique calling.

My Family's Syrian Street: Where Saul Met Jesus

Our grandfather, Alfred Paulsen, spent over four decades as an illustrator at NASA, capturing some of the most groundbreaking moments in aerospace history through his art. Long before the days of digital rendering, Alfred’s detailed hand-drawn illustrations helped engineers, astronauts, and the public visualize missions that would one day change the world. His work blended technical precision with creative vision, offering a glimpse into projects that ranged from early satellite launches to space shuttle designs. His steady hand and sharp eye were trusted across generations of NASA’s top minds.

Beyond the technical demands of the job, Alfred’s illustrations carried a spirit of wonder that reflected humanity’s excitement about space exploration. He saw the beauty in complex machinery and the heroism in scientific discovery, and he brought that to life on paper. His legacy lives on not only in the archives of NASA but also in the spirit of curiosity and creativity he passed down to all of us. Alfred Paulsen wasn’t just documenting history — he was helping to inspire the future.

Your Creative Fisherman

I was once just an art kid who filled binders with sleeve-protected sketches, a teen printing band shirts in his garage, a soul shaped by shopping malls, punk rock shows, and my father's paintings. Now I use every pixel, every creative expression to help others unlock and unleash their divine purpose.
